    Creative Director

Andy joined JUMP in 2015 and is responsible for the creative direction of all work. Andy applies high levels of technical knowledge and expertise, working with clients to create bespoke graphic design, brand communications, marketing and web-based solutions that offer a great user experience and exceed needs and expectations.

Andy was born in Middlesbrough but now lives just a brisk 10-minute walk from the scenic northern coastline in Northumberland. Andy has over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer. He graduated from the Northern School of Art in 2000 and Liverpool John Moores University in 2003 with a BA Hons in Graphic Arts. Andy’s role at JUMP is Creative Director.

Andy always had an interest in art and design, although he would confess he wasn’t really the best at drawing. Andy started off his working life at an architect’s firm in Manchester building scale models, public consultations and housing estates. This helped Andy massively in his career progression as it gave him a real understanding of the benefits of collaboration and identifying the best route to a creative solution.

On his return to the northeast, Andy worked for six years as a senior designer for Newcastle College Group, the largest group of colleges, training and education providers in the UK.

Andy loves the dynamic nature of working at JUMP. Every day brings something fresh and unexpected, and that's what excites him the most. He thrives on the constant evolution and development that comes with this industry. Andy hopes to continue supporting the team at JUMP to help develop the organisation and produce well-thought-out, creative and high-quality design solutions.

Outside of his busy work schedule, Andy also loves running. He discovered the joys of running long distances around the same time as he became a parent. Andy says he was introduced to a new world of sleep deprivation, cake being a perfectly legitimate breakfast option and teary tantrums, so started running as a way to relieve stress and its continued to be a great way to have some clear space to think.
