    Bespoke e-commerce and training platform

Ecological Building Systems supply products and training for sustainable building including wind-tight solutions for low energy new builds, natural insulation and chemical-free paints. Their focus has always been on the customer, with project-level support backed by decades of experience in their field. Their existing website did not deliver the same level of support or show off the stunning projects their products helped to build.

    A personal customer experience

JUMP was commissioned to create a bespoke e-commerce website that would communicate exceptional products and services to audiences in both the UK and Ireland. We worked closely with the client to understand and then map out the various user groups for the website. We spoke directly to customers and suppliers to ensure the insights we had were both evidenced and valuable to enable a seamless user experience.

This is so much more than an e-commerce website; it communicates our knowledge and expertise in a friendly, usable and beautiful way.

    A bespoke technical approach

The website, as with all of JUMP’s sites, was built from scratch to accommodate the unique needs of the organisation and the vision of key stakeholders. This included a fast and intelligent AI site search that accounts for typos and errors as well as a recommendations system that automatically shows related products based on their use-cases and attributes. The product pages also include price calculators to help users to get the right amount of product for the best price. The user experience throughout has been fine-tuned to create a seamless and supportive online environment.

    Understanding the audience

JUMP and Ecological Building Systems worked closely to define the target audience and customer needs. The biggest challenge was creating a site that would equally support a world-class architects firm, a budding home-improver or an experienced builder, all while giving them the support they needed both before and after their purchase. As well as an e-commerce shop for products and online booking for courses and training, the site also includes an inspiring gallery of projects as well as a wealth of technical information and installation guides.
